Why Deliverance? ….. BY GLEN MILLER

Deliverance, basically is selfish! WHY???? You say, I want or need help. I have a problem: Depression - Drugs - Rejection - Alcohol - Suicide - Fear - Violence - Anger - Unforgiveness - Insecurity - Abuse, etc., etc. But it is God ordained.

Whatever your problem may be, God wants to help you with it. Doesn't John, chapter three and verse sixteen say, "For God so loved the world, (that's you and me) that HE gave HIS only begotten Son, that whosoever (and you and I are whosever's) believeth in (or on) HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Jesus said in Matthew, chapter eleven and verse twenty-eight, "Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, (problems - evil spirits - demons) and I WILL give you rest (Deliver you)."

Jesus also said in Mark chapter sixteen, verse seventeen, that HE gives a believer the authority to set someone that is tormented by something they cannot see or control, free, called casting it out, and Jesus calls them devils, (demons). "And these signs shall follow them (you and me) that believe; In MY NAME (the name of the Lord Jesus Christ) shall they (you and me) cast out devils; (or evil spirits, demons) - Setting the person free that has been bound or tormented by an evil spirit in HIS, Jesus name, for Jesus said in Matthew chapter twenty-eight and verse eighteen, that all power (authority) is given unto ME in heaven and in earth.

We are also told in Matthew chapter twelve and verses forty-three and forty-four, and in Luke chapter eleven and verses twenty through twenty-six, that if we leave the house empty, (you are the house) that the unclean spirit will return and bring back seven more unclean spirits more vile than the one cast out. Note: All demons are also called unclean spirits. So, how do we fill the empty house and keep the unclean demon spirits out?

FIRST with, IT IS WRITTEN - THE WORD OF GOD.

SECOND with our prayers and praise, giving thanks for what God has done, is doing, and will yet do for you and me through and by the Blood and name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

THIRD, be quick to repent and confess your sins and NEVER let the sun go down on your wrath, anger or spirit of contention.

You and I are the present, KINGDOM of GOD on the earth, that was God's plan from the beginning. Genesis chapter one and verse twenty-six says, "And GOD SAID, Let US make man in OUR IMAGE, after OUR LIKENESS: and let THEM HAVE DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and OVER ALL THE EARTH."

God's will was repeated by Jesus in Matthew chapter six and verses nine and ten, "Our, (MY) FATHER which art in heaven, Hallowed (reverent) be THY name. THY KINGDOM come. THY WILL be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

Again in 1 Peter chapter two and verse nine we are told the reason the children of God need deliverance. "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; (or treasure) that ye (you and me) should shew forth the praises of HIM who hath called you (me) out of darkness (under the influence of demonic spirits or powers, demons) into HIS marvellous light (of SALVATION and DELIVERANCE through the name and BLOOD OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, whose KINGDOM is NOW, not some time in the future, or sweet bye and bye or after the rapture. God has an army NOW.)

Our purpose of deliverance for God's people is to teach that we are the Kingdom of the LORD JESUS CHRIST here on earth NOW.

As Jesus said in Matthew chapter six, verse ten, "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." NOW!

Daniel says in chapter two and the last half of verse thirty-five, "And the stone that smote the image (JESUS) became a great mountain, (the KINGDOM OF GOD) and filled the whole earth."

Jesus is the fulfillment of all the LAW of sacrifices and ordinances, but God's commandments, HIS statutes and precepts are eternal.

God's purpose of deliverance for you and me from the unseen powers that seem to control you in both your mind and body; is that you be set free from satan, the devil, his demon spirits that have legal right because of yours or your ancestors disobedience (SIN) against GOD'S commandments, statutes and precepts so that you and I, can be a faithful and fruitful witness IN and FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD, NOW.

Jesus said in Matthew chapter sixteen and verse nine-teen, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

And Psalm nineteen verses seven and eight says, "The LAW of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the TESTIMONY of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The STATUTES of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the COMMANDMENT of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes."
