DEAR SAINTS
OF GOD:
Thanks to all who helped make the 2006 Summer Family
Camp such a glorious event! Every helping hand was
appreciated! Heb 6:10 "For God is not
unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love,
which ye have shewed toward HIS name, in that ye have
ministered to the saints, and do minister."
YOUTH CAMP REPORT: There were
approximately thirty young people in attendance.
Youth Camp assembled on July 3-6, 2006. Each morning
the young people would gather in the sanctuary for a
time of praise and worship. Afterwards, Diane Bijeaux
ministered to everyone about getting rid of the
"junk" in their lives. Nearly each
afternoon there were booth tours. These tours
conveyed the life of the Bible character as if each
story-teller witnessed that specific time of the
Bible character's life. The first day there were four
booths about Joseph's life and the next day there
were four tours about Moses' life. The third day the
children split into two groups of boys and girls. The
girls learned about the life of Esther and the boys
learned about David's life. The last day of camp
there was a tour on the life of Jesus. Each tour
showed the different obstacles each Bible character
confronted and overcame to later become a "Giant
for God". The young people saw firsthand that
God used real people just like them to accomplish His
plans and purposes. (Thanks to Jenny Kober who
submitted this report).
ADULT SERVICES: While the young
people were receiving ministry in their events, the
adults were also being spiritually nourished
throughout the week. We want to thank Nathan and
Janie Hopson, Ronnie & Diane Bijeaux, Geri
McGhee, Carla Butaud, Jim Landry, Chris Simpson, Dr.
William Null, Cheryl Batts, Gayle Patton and Clement
Humbard for their ministry contribution. We don't
tell a minister what they are to speak on. But it
never ceases to amaze us how the Holy Spirit weaves
the messages from the various ministers to tie a
theme together. In Col 2:19 (Amplified) we are told
that out from the Head (Jesus) the entire body, is
supplied and knit together by means of its joints and
ligaments, and grows with a growth that is from God.
Just as the human body is fearfully and wonderfully
made, He is forming a people that rightly divides the
Word of Truth - that will embrace and obey His Word
always, even when confronted by satan's expert
beguiling use of the Scripture. The teachings and
ministry in these campmeetings go forth to nourish
and bring the increase of God. We encourage you to
obtain all of the CD's. IT IS THE WORD OF TRUTH THAT
CHANGES LIVES!
The time to rightly divide the Word of Truth has
never been as important as it is today. There is a
clarion call being uttered from many different
ministries, warning God's people about deception. A
little poem came across our desk that puts it all in
perspective. The author is unknown.
Two natures dwell within my breast.
One is cursed, the other blest.
The one I love, the other hate.
The one I feed will dominate.
LABOR DAY CAMP - August 31st to September 4th
- Camp will begin with supper at 5pm on Thursday the
31st. The first service will be at 7 pm and services
will continue through the 10:00 am service on Monday,
September 4th, with lunch being the last meal served.
Confirmed speakers coming from out of town are Steve
Coyle, Rome, GA, Carl Fox, Truth or Consequences, NM,
Jim Landry, Beaumont, TX. Local ministry includes Dr.
William Null, Cheryl Batts, Clement Humbard, myself
and others. Please make every effort to come and be a
part of these Holy Ghost meetings! Truly, you will
never be the same again. (Read the Letters From our
Readers - the testimonies of some of the young adults
who came to Summer Camp from New York City)
ANSWERED PRAYER: In our last issue
we posted a need for a cook and a truck and want to
submit a praise report that God has graciously
supplied both. God has also sent Linda Henley, a
wonderful assistant in the office. We also want to
welcome additions or our camp family, Ralph and Tami
Andrews and their son, Caleb, and Rhonda Bryan and
her children, Tucker and Loren. You might recall the
prophecy we printed that was given to me in Fort
Worth, Texas in March. "And son, I say to you
this day, that I'm going to bring forth help. It
truly is on the way."
PRAYER REQUEST: We ask that you join
with us in agreement for complete healing and
restoration for our dear friend, George Leroy, who
has medically been told he has inoperable colon
cancer. He and his wife KNOW THEIR GOD and believe
for divine intervention. We are agreeing with them.
Please pray with us. Along that same vein, we want to
remind you that every Thursday, we have a 12 noon
intercessory prayer meeting for the requests that has
come in by mail, phone and email. We invite you to be
in prayer with us at that time if your schedule
permits. Though you won't have the specific requests,
God knows what they are and we are assured of the
fact that those who depend on us to pray would be
grateful to know there are others praying for them as
well. Some of these folks have seemingly
insurmountable problems
. but God. There is not
a day that goes by that someone doesn't call for
prayer on the phone. We don't just say, "OK,
we'll add your request to the prayer list." If
at all possible, we pray for them on the phone. God
may bring LHBC to your mind to pray for and it might
be at the exact time one of us is praying for someone
on the phone. Be obedient, and to God be the Glory
for what is accomplished in the spirit realm!
PRAISE & WORSHIP: God has truly
blessed us with an awesome praise and worship team.
There have been so many people acknowledge how much
they appreciate the Spirit of the LORD in the praise
and worship here. Thanks to all who faithfully
minister in every service. Much is accomplished in
the spirit realm when the high praises of God go
forth. Ps 149:6-9 "Let the high praises of God
be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their
hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and
punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with
chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To
execute upon them the judgment written: this honour
have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD."
FINANCES: We are grateful to all who
send monthly support. Many of you have never been
here but God has laid this end-time garrison on your
hearts. We pray for you and your family often.
