CD PROGRESS UPDATE

In our last two issues of Voices From His Excellent Glory we have presented the need for finances to begin making the transition from cassette tapes to CD's. Specifically, we have needed the equipment and software to make it happen. We want to give you an update on the progress thus far, as well as thank those of you who have contributed towards this need.

Total cost of equipment needed is approximately $7,000.00. We are not cutting corners by buying cheap equipment. This is the best we can buy for our needs at this time. Still, it is far less than our initial projections of $20,000.00.

CD Duplicator - makes 7 copies at a time
CD Printer - will print up to 100 CD's
1 computer and monitor for Glen to do live recording of services
1 computer and monitor for Kevin to edit and digitally re-master cassettes and older reel recordings
Recording and editing software

The finances that have come in designated for this project total $3,400.00. We ask that you prayerfully consider helping us towards the remaining $3,600.00 that is yet outstanding.

It's hard to fathom that God, in His majestic plan, knew when I was recording these Treasures on Tape starting forty years ago with the Full Gospel Business Men, that there would be software, yet to be invented that would give editing capabilities to provide even better quality than the original recording. This technology is giving us the opportunity to make available to you, the great speakers of the Charismatic movement from the sixties and seventies. We have the only existing library of this kind in the world. It is truly awesome what the LORD is making happen after all these years. We are humbled by the privilege He has given us to share them with you. In the next issue of Voices From His Excellent Glory, we will give you a partial list of these ministers of yesterday.

We also marvel at the fact that when the campground purchased it's first computer in the mid-eighties, that the 35 meg stand-alone hard drive with tape backup cost a few dollars less than what BOTH of the computers cost that we need now for recording. And one of these computers will have two internal hard drives - one 80 gig and one 250 gig. It is just amazing!

We also want to thank Kevin King for the hours of time spent researching equipment, testing software and narrowing down the search and for donating his time towards converting, editing, and helping make these messages available to you. He is now our studio manager.

And again, thanks to everyone who has contributed thus far to this project. Blessings to you!
