Thank You Erma …

I came to LHBC for many years with my parents starting around the age of ten. Just before I graduated from college I contacted Glen and Erma about working for them at the camp ground for a year. I thought it would be a simple "yes" since they had known my parents and me for many years. But it was not to be. Erma said, "We'll have to pray about it". To be honest at that time, I was shocked, but looking back I see the wisdom in her answer. I worked with and for Erma for over three years before she passed to the highest rung of the ladder, that all of us are climbing (Jacob's ladder). Along with greater dedication to prayer Erma helped me to increase my trust in the LORD, and rely on Him to bring the solutions to the "big" problems in my life that He solved before my birth. Lord, please tell Erma "thank you" from Christel. Christel Beckley, Office Manager - (Christel came to LHBC just before Erma had her operation for the excess spinal fluid. She required almost constant care while she learned to walk, write and remember. Christel became her nurse and teacher, our office manger, and Erma's and my angel from heaven - Glen Miller)

The first time I heard Erma speak in the Ladies class at Camp, I was blessed by her knowledge of deliverance, the authority I saw as she taught, and her discernment in deliverance. God had given her a gift that many could be set free. She would know what the root of the problem was instantly, and cast out the spirit. Many people are free today because of her love and concern. She will be well remembered. Erma had many gifts but her gift of discerning spirits was one few people have or use. - Minister Mildred Coffey - (God has sent Mildred Coffey to be Erma's teaching replacement for the women's meetings. - Glen Miller)

Erma Miller was a special lady to me. She had a keen sense of discernment and knew how to pray to help people get free. I used to call her Mrs. Sandpaper, because she knew just what to say to challenge me. Her words might not always feel good, but when I was ready to surrender; she was more then willing to help pray for me. - Kevin King, Webmaster for LHBC - (Kevin came to live with us in California, and when we decided to move to Arkansas, he asked us, "Please, can I go too?". So along with Erma and I came Kevin, who became a very faithful helper; clearing brush, hauling hundreds of loads of gravel with the back hoe, working in the office making tapes, and then one day Erma asked him to come help her pray for someone, and that is where he found his Patti. - Glen Miller)

Erma was a classy lady but she wasn't religious. In all her fineries, she never held back when it came to rolling up her sleeves to battle the enemy in someone's life so they could be set free. She loved the anointing and to feel the fire of God. She encouraged everyone that knew her to press towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus - and she did so by example and the life she led. She was a gifted writer and Bible teacher and the Lord always gave her common sense examples to illustrate His Kingdom purposes.

God used Erma to nurture and help me develop as a Christian, as a wife, and as an employee. I had been saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit only about a year when the Lord placed Erma in my life in 1979. It was a privilege to work closely alongside her for many years. She was an example to me of the love of Jesus, and invested many hours teaching, training and praying for me. She never asked anyone to do anything that she was not willing to do herself. She was not only my boss and my spiritual mentor, but she was my friend.- Patti King - (Patti came to LHBC one week just to keep a friend of hers company that came for prayer and deliverance, not knowing she would meet he future husband, Kevin, when Erma called him in to help pray. Patti has been a vital part of the deliverance ministry here at LHBC - Glen Miller)
