I often wonder how many other gods we have before
us in our homes and lives - that we are not even
aware of, because they have been passed on to us just
as traditions of our family or our religious
backgrounds.
In Exodus 20:4, God tells us that, "Thou
shalt not make unto thee any graven images, or any
likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that
is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water
under the earth." Scripture tells us in
Deuteronomy 7:26, "Neither shalt thou bring an
abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed
thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and
thou shalt utterly abhor it, for it is a cursed thing."
Deuteronomy 27:15 tells us that, "Cursed be
the man that maketh any graven image or molten image,"
and in Jeremiah 11:3, the LORD says, "Thus saith
the LORD God of Israel, cursed be the man that
obeyeth not the words of this covenant." These
Scriptures show us that these curses are from God and
not from satan, therefore, the only way to get these
curses removed is to repent and ask God to remove
them. Jesus made the provision by hanging on the tree.
Have you ever wondered how they (or whoever) knew
that December 25th was Jesus' birthday. Well, I have
recently began to question this and to my amazement
here are some of my findings. The word Christmas is
of Roman Catholic origin, meaning a mass said for
Christ. This thought had never entered my mind, and I
have seen well over fifty "Christ masses".
God tells us through Ezekiel in Chapter 20:39.
"Pollute ye My Holy Name no more." The word
Christmas is a pollution of the name of the LORD
Jesus Christ. In reality Jesus never told us to
observe His birth nor is it found in Scripture the
exact day that He was born. Why was this day chosen?
I believe He was born on the Day of Atonement -
that great day of the Feast of Tabernacles. Christmas
indicates that it is a mixture, though it includes
the name of Christ, it also mentions "mass";
Now the mass, with its rituals, elaborate ceremony,
pagan prayers for the dead, etc. is most assuredly a
continuation of paganism. Considering then that the
name of these pagan rites, the mass, is connected
with the name of Christ in the word "CHRIST-MAS",
we immediately see an attempt to merge two
conflicting systems together! Actually, to attach the
name of Christ with the word "mass", a
pagan and heathenistic ritual carried down from
Babylon, is but to pollute the Holy Name of our God.
Since Christ was not born on December 25, then how
did this particular day come to be part of the church
calendar? History has the answer.
Nimrod was the third generation from Noah. Noah
begat Ham, who begat Cush, who begat Nimrod, and
Nimrod was the builder and founder of Babylon.
Nimrod's wife was Semiramis, (he was the king and she
was the queen of Babylon). After Nimrod died, she
said that he was to be worshipped as the sun-god, and
she gave birth to an illegitimate son and claimed he
was Nimrod, reborn by supernatural conception, who
she named Tammuz. She set herself up before the
people as "queen of heaven"; and Tammuz as
"god-child" and December 25th has been
worshipped as his birthday for hundreds of years
before the birth of Christ. So Christmas is a mixture
and a mixture is an abomination to God!!!
Christmas Trees - Semiramis, the
mother of Tammuz, claimed that overnight an evergreen
tree sprang up from a dead tree stump. The dead stump
supposedly symbolized her dead husband Nimrod; the
new evergreen tree was the symbol that Nimrod had
come to life again in the person of her virgin born
son, Tammuz. From this time on, the evergreen tree
was worshipped. In at least ten Bible references, the
"green" tree is associated with idolatry
and false worship.
Gifts - Supposedly gifts were
found under this green tree that sprang up, so from
that time to this, gifts are given on December 25th
in honor of the birth of Tammuz, the child-god.
Yule log - This is a carry over
of the fire ceremony of passing through the fire
which God forbade the children of Israel to have any
part of. Also, a log was burned on the winter
solstice day in December in honor of the coming of
spring. Part of this log was kept to start the fire
with at the time of the winter solstice the next year.
Holly and Mistletoe - The holly
and mistletoe were used in ceremonies of the Druidic
priest in worship to satan.
Santa Claus - He is a false god
and is depicted as living in the north, and that is
where the Bible says that God is from, the sides of
the North. He is depicted as being omni-present by
being everyplace the same night by flying through the
sky. Besides it is a lie to tell children about
something that is false
Tree Decorations - "Balls"
symbolize the sun and represents the worship of
Nimrod who was supposed to be the god of the sun.
Lights on the tree originally were candles that were
burned to the god of lights, Februa, and today
electric lights on the tree are used.
Jeremiah 10:1-5 tells us, "...The customs of
the people are vain, for one cutteth a tree out of
the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with
the axe. They deck it with silver and gold; they
fasten it with nails and with hammers."
Exodus 20:5 says, "Thou shalt not bow down
thyself to them, nor serve them for I, the LORD thy
God am a jealous God visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth
generation of them that hate Me; (or them that do not
follow, obey, adhere to His statutes and commandments.)"
Do we not need to repent as Daniel (who I believe
had received an understanding of this Scripture) in
Daniel 9:3-19. Daniel set his face to seek the LORD
by prayer, supplication and fasting with sackcloth
and ashes because they had sinned and rebelled and in
verse 11, he says that God's curse is poured upon us
as it is written in the law of Moses, and that the
LORD hath watched over evil to bring it upon us.
In 1 John 1:19, we are told, "If we confess
our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Could we be knowingly serving or doing service to
false gods in these things, which is an abomination
to God and be under a curse from Him? Galatians 4:8-11
says, "Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye
did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are
known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and
beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in
bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and
years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon
you labour in vain."
Of these things I ponder and wonder ... are we
under curses? Do we need to repent? I believe we do.
Ask the LORD Jesus to turn the light of the Holy
Spirit upon us.
