2001 is halfway over, and only what you and I have
accomplished for the Kingdom will matter or last. I
pray that is everyone's desire and goal and that you
have fruit to show for your faithfulness.
The year 2001 has been a year of trials and
wonderful anointing and presence of the LORD. Erma's
health has been improving. Beginning around Passover,
I started to loose my voice, and the doctors can find
no reason. When Family Camp began, it was at it's
worst. There has been much prayer for both Erma and
I, and this last week I have been greatly improved,
Praise the LORD Jesus. I am thankful that the LORD
send Bob Banker to help take my place, and his wife
Juanita Humbard Banker, to play the organ, and help
Christel Beckley and Bob with praise and worship,
along with the help of the Wisecarver family.
The year started with the Ladies' Conference in
February, with Mildred Coffey, Ruth
Wilson and Mary Ann Flynn.
At Passover Campmeeting, we were blessed with the
ministry of Howard Pittman, Jon
Nelson, Dr. Bill Null, Tommy
Cook and Clement Humbard.
Memorial Day Campmeeting, we had the anointed
ministry of Donnie and Trish Morris, Bill
Smith, Jim Landry, Donna Martonfi, Dr. Bill Null,
and our missionaries James and Murlene Golden,
of Belize, Central America. And what a time we had at
Family Camp - 4th of July week. Diane Bijeaux
and her wonderful helpers had a wonderful time with
the youth - they will never be the same! The Wisecarver
family led some wonderful praise and
worship, and we were blessed by the ministry of Mildred
Coffey, Melvin Creason, Chris Simpson, Dr. Bill Null,
Jim Landry, Kevin Wisecarver, Clement Humbard,
missionaries James and Murlene Golden,
and Gisela Huyssen, who has a home
for women and children, outside of Manila in the
Philippines. We have been supporting these two
ministries for many years - each month, through your
faithful support of LHBC. You are the lifeline of
LHBC. We had a wonderful Family Camp! As you read the
synopsis of the services, you will sense the
anointing of the Spirit that is present.
The first Sunday afternoon of Family Camp, July
the 1st, Erma and I were honored by a wonderful
reception at the parsonage for our 60th wedding
anniversary, hosted by Francis Humbard and her many
helpers. Christel even retrieved Erma's wedding dress
from the cedar chest and it fit perfectly! Thanks to
all who attended and sent congratulations as we move
on towards the Kingdom with King Jesus.
Labor Day Campmeeting is fast
approaching, a time of praise and worship and being
taught the things of the Kingdom, as our young people
return to their place of study and to be a light to
their classmates.
The Feast of Tabernacles is still in the future
and to be remembered. The great Day of Atonement will
be on September 27th, a Sabbath of Sabbaths to be
held in reverence. The Deliverance Ministers
Conference will be held October 23rd to the 26th.
Every year it gives ministers the understanding for
the need for deliverance in the body of Christ today!
We are also looking forward to Thanksgiving
Campmeeting, a time of thanksgiving and praise with
our friend, Robert Cameron. And of course, at the end
of the year is the Mid-Winter Campmeeting, when we
praise the LORD for all He has done for us this past
year, and we hear a report from Howard Pittman of his
year of travels for the LORD. We trust that you will
be with us at one or more of the campmeetings before
the year expires and will remember us in your prayers
and financial help to maintain the garrison of the
LORD's that all of us have been entrusted with.
Many blessings,
Glen, Erma and Staff
