Using the parable of the sower, Bro. Pittman illustrates that out of one hundred people who hear the Word only 25% actually make it. The remaining 75% perish and are never saved! THAT’S SOBERING! It takes "real saving faith" to bring salvation – not intellectual faith. The element that the 75% who perished were lacking was genuine, sincere repentance. Without repentance there will never be salvation. And without salvation fighting the devil is to no avail. The man to whom the Lord said, "I never knew you; depart from Me," was sincere. He had done all that he thought he was supposed to do and, as Bro. Pittman testified, he thought his life had been one that was pleasing to God. How could one be so sincere and yet not be saved? How do we escape finding ourselves in this position on judgment day? God gave Bro. Pittman directions to share with those who will listen. But He is looking for the "doer" not the "hearer."
