BLOOD |
The following happening caused me to ponder and reconsider Gods laws of the blood.
During one of the weekly services here at the campground, the first part of January, I read in relation with other Scriptures, Leviticus 3:17. "It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings that you eat neither fat nor blood." This portion of Scripture made an unusual impression on one of the women who lives here on the campground. She remembered that she had heard her mother talking about her grandmother making blood pudding and blood sausage. During the period of time between the weekday service and the Sunday morning service, the Lord began to show her that there was a connection between her borderline diabetes and her ancestors disobedience to Gods laws. In the Sunday morning service, she stood and said, "Diabetes has been a curse in my family for years." Then she asked for prayer and the breaking of the inherited curse of her ancestors for disobeying Gods commandment in eating blood. Numbers 14:18, "Visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generations."
I am not implying that all diabetes or hypoglycemia is caused from eating or drinking blood, but I wonder, can we deliberately break Gods health laws?
I also remember, as a boy on the farm, a neighbor of German descent, catching all the blood when my folk, butchered, to make blood pudding and sausage. "Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it upon the earth as water." Deuteronomy 12:16, "Only be sure that you eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and you may not eat the life with the flesh. You shall not eat it; you shall pour it upon the earth as water. You shall not eat it; that it may go well with you, and with your children after you. When you shall do that which is right in the sight of the Lord." Deuteronomy 12:23-25
Blood is the life and also the carrier of disease. Today most animals are killed at the slaughter houses by hitting them in the head with a sledge or maul and then the meat retains the blood, making it weigh heavier. God required the animals throat to be slit and then the heart pumped most of the blood out on the ground where it was then covered with dirt to eliminate the possibility of disease.
"For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul. Therefore, I said unto the children of Israel, no soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood. And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that MAY BE EATEN; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust. For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore, I said unto the children of Israel, you shall not eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off." Leviticus 17: 11-14
The Lord makes it very plain, the Israelite, or stranger, that includes everyone, regardless of race. Also, any beast or fowl that may be eaten, that is all inclusive. Also, "whosoever eateth it shall be cut off" - die before our allotted time because of our own rebellion against Gods laws.
So that some of you cannot use the cliche, "that is Old Testament", let us see what James, the brother of Jesus has to say about this in Lukes writings. Acts 15:20, "But that we write unto them that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood." Again in verse 29 and in Chapter 21:25, the same admonition is given.
I asked the lady to come forward and any others who would like prayer. Several came. I decided to pray for all present, as there was a possibility everyone could be carrying this inherited sin.
I prayed, coming before the Lord as the priest on behalf of the people and myself, with ours and the sins of our forefathers for disobeying Gods law concerning the eating of blood. We then asked the Lord, in Jesus name, to forgive us and cleanse us from this sin, by the blood of Jesus. I then, on behalf of all the people, asked the Lord to lift this curse from us according to Galatians 3:13, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree." I took authority over every demonic spirit of infirmity connected in any way with this sin, and commanded them to leave us in Jesus name. There was a manifestation of deliverance throughout the congregation as this command was given.
For every disease there is a cause
For the breaking of every law there is judgment
I wonder, do we realize Gods Word says .... "The soul that sinneth, it shall die."? Ezekiel 18:4 And dying many are, before their time, because of their rebellion against Gods laws.
