- Amos 2:9 "Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath." Dr. Null begins this teaching by showing the importance of removing the root cause so that the branch and fruit do not return. He explains how familiar spirits work in your life to cause problems. He looks at various root causes from the family. These include generational curses from sins of the fathers - abandonment, incest, rape, bastard, vagabond, poverty, whoredom, and abortion. Abandonment in your life can be real or perceived. Example of real is adoption or desertion. Example of perceived is early death of pet, friend or parent. Example of situational would be alcoholic parent, crisis in family, divorce, parental over-commitment to job, unwanted pregnancy, wrong timing, unwanted sex, abuse in family - physical, emotional, sexual, or verbal.
