WHAT'S ON CD DISC #A

07DELTRMP3CD-4 – Bo Fisher – SPEAKING IN TONGUES AND SPIRITUAL WARFARE - Bo opens with prayer and begins this teaching by taking a scriptural look at several instances of “passive protection”; Numbers 23:18-24, vs.22 - horns of the wild ox, Zachariah 2:4 – wall of fire, Psalms 34:7 – angel of the Lord encamped, Ecclesiastes 12:1-7. It would be called ‘raw faith’. Can we enhance this protection? Bo believes we can by exercising spiritual authority over ourselves. Expand the perimeter of God’s hedge of protection. We need to identify our ‘horns’ and enhance them. He gives us 5 points he took from Chris Simpson’s book “Keeping Demons Out Once They Are Cast Out” which are also used to enforce a powerful Christian walk: 1) disciplined prayer life 2) build a fasting regimen 3) fall in love with the Word of God 4) eliminate mind junk 5) keep short accounts. But he adds that one thing you can always do is speak in tongues which will expand your spiritual perimeter. Tongues can help us seal off a major in-road to the devil. Bo expounds on the ‘eye gate’, the ‘ear gate’, and securing your mind and emotions with scriptural references on each one. He says if we speak in tongues a lot, fast, pray and read the Word, it will help bring a calm mind and emotions so we can identify sin but we won’t likely yield to it as readily. A progressive series of the gates mentioned lets the sin in. Bo explains how this can happen. The mind cannot submit to God because of SIN. Speaking in tongues, fighting the devil in prayer and making choices God would have us to make brings the soul under the control of the Spirit and the body under control of the soul. Only through the Spirit do we have any hope of controlling the soul. Bo closes this informative teaching with prayer and an exercise of speaking in tongues.

97LHMP3CD7-16 - David Brogdon - GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT - Are you endued with power from on high? Bro. Brogdon’s teaching on the gifts of the Spirit is followed by a time of ministry in which many were released to exercise their spiritual gifts and many received personal prophetic words.

67KCMMP3CD10-3 - Derek Prince - HOW TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT - Derek begins by telling us, the gift, which is the Holy Spirit is not the same as the gifts of the Holy Spirit. As in an earlier teaching he points out that God’s 2 great gifts to man are God Himself. The first gift to the sinner is Jesus Christ- John 3:16 and John 1:12. The next great gift is another person – to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Jesus said if I go away I will send another comforter to be with you for the entire age. Unbelievers cannot receive the Holy Spirit. He is only for the children of God. Derek gives scripture concerning charisma which covers every result of a divine person coming into your life. It is not the will of God that anyone be without the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. I Corinthians 12; 8-10 tells us the 9 gifts of the Spirit. Derek interjects the “Prince version”. The first three are revelation gifts; a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge and discerning of spirits. Derek expounds on each of these. In Ecclesiastes 10:7 we see an example of scriptural wisdom. He distinguishes between knowledge which is fact, and wisdom which is how to make use of the fact. They work together. Concerning spirits, there is the Holy Spirit, angelic spirits, evil spirits (evil angels) and the human spirit. You will have to get rid of a critical spirit before you can have the gift of discerning of spirits. The next three are gifts of power – workings of miracles, gifts of healing and gifts of faith. He gives examples of these three also. Profoundly speaking, great faith goes with great humility. He mentions 2 people of great faith in the bible, the centurion and the Syrophenician woman. As Derek sees it, the way to receive the gifts of the Spirits to move out for God - not to kneel in the church and ask for them. The first 6 gifts he just covered are under the sovereign control of God. The last 3 are vocal gifts of which the control is given to us. There is a possibility of misusing them. Acts 2:4 tells us you can speak not from the Holy Spirit in a tongue. Luke 11:13, I Corinthians 12:28-30. These 3 gifts are tongues, interpretations of tongues and prophecy. Every believer is in the will of God to have his own divine channel of communion (devotional tongues) with the Lord but the exercise of tongues in the public assembly (church) of God’s people is not always given to all believers. Derek gives examples and illustrations here. Prophecy is inspired utterance given by the Holy Spirit independent of the human mind but in a language that is known and understood by the speaker and those to whom he is speaking. Prophets are plural – a group of men to minister together Acts 13:1 – 5 are mentioned. If you are not prepared to accept judgment, don’t prophesy. Prophecy is for edification, exhortation and comfort. Derek closes this informative teaching giving the people instruction on receiving the gift of tongues, interpretation and prophecy. God doesn’t tell us to pray for something we aren’t meant to have. When you pray, receive the gift, believe you receive it and exercise it.

67KCMMP3CD10-6 - Derek Prince - THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - Derek opens with prayer and mentions 7 of his books which are aimed to present the basic truths of the Christian faith. He warns us that merely to go in for spiritual experiences without grounding in the Word of God is extremely dangerous. Some people think when you come into a spiritual experience you don’t need your mind anymore. This is a total misconception. The further you go into the things of the Spirit, you’ll find your mind is clarified, purified and made more vital and active. God gives Himself to men. He is the gift. God’s first great gift to the sinner is the Lord Jesus Christ to be our Savior. The second gift from God is the Holy Spirit. The “gift” is the Holy Spirit and much lower down is the gifts of the Spirit. John 10:9 tells us Jesus is the only way in. Romans 6:23 is another reference. Keep in mind that eternal life in Jesus is first. The 9 manifestations of the Holy Spirit are seen in I Corinthians 12:8-10. He gives example that all poodles are dogs but not all dogs are poodles in the same way all manifestations are gifts but not all gifts are manifestations. There are 9 distinctive supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit. To receive the Holy Spirit is also called being baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can also work in your life before you become a believer by convicting you of sin. Luke 24:49 tells us Jesus is the baptizer. The Holy Spirit does not make people do things. The devil makes people do things. Can you receive the Holy Spirit without speaking in tongues? Derek answers this question with another question; Can you have an elephant with-out a trunk? He tells us things an elephant does with his trunk? Comparable, yes very much. He says speaking in tongues is not the beginning of the experience. It is the culmination of the experience. It’s not the infilling, it’s the overflowing. Accounts of receiving the Holy Spirit are described in Acts 2, 10, and 19. Derek gives some interesting experiences. It is noted the tongue was given for one purpose and that is to glorify God. Jesus gives the simplest outline of how to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit in John 7:37-39. Interesting truths are given by Derek throughout this teaching. Acts 2:4 – who began to speak? “They”- not the Holy Spirit but he gave them the words and they spoke them. And remember Matthew 11:24 says - when you pray. An interesting point is that receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues is like Peter walking on the water. Derek closed with a prayer of dismissal then he ministered to the ones present wanting to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

69DPMP3CD11-11 - Derek Prince – WHAT HAPPENED AT PENTECOST? - Derek tells us in 1969 he has been in the Pentecostal movement for 28 years. He then gives definitions for charisma and charismatic. In this teaching, he speaks on the significance of Pentecost; what really happened. By way of introduction, he starts with John 1:29 – the testimony of John the Baptist, going on from here in the Word from passage to passage with a few comments. Pentecost was a great climax of all achieved in the gospels. The one miracle that is recorded in each gospel is feeding the 5,000. But all the gospels say Jesus is the baptizer in the Holy Spirit. References here are John 7:37-39 and John 14:15 – the great farewell discourse of Jesus and promise of the coming of the Holy Spirit. Jesus had to ask the Father to send the Holy Spirit. So we have to ask for the gift of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. It is for the believer not for the unbeliever. References – John 15:25-27, John 16:6-7, John 16:13 and John 20:19. We have 2 basic requirements – Romans 10:9-10, request for New Testament salvation and Luke 24:49-50 – the last words Jesus spoke to them was still the promise of the Father for the Holy Spirit even though Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit into them 40 days before. They needed more. Acts 1:4, Acts 1:8, you shall have power, Acts 2:1-4. When Derek was asked if you can have the baptism in the Holy Spirit without speaking in tongues, his reply was “can you have an elephant without a trunk?” Tongues are not in the filling but in the outflow or overflow. I Corinthians 6:19 – makes Pentecost a climax. We become the actual dwelling place of the Lord Jesus. Derek gives his personal testimony of receiving the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I Corinthians 14 is a chapter about edification. Derek then begins a time of ministry for receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. Three requirements for receiving the Holy Spirit are 1. You must be thirsty 2. You must come to the baptizer 3. You have to drink. Lend Him your tongue and your voice. He closes with prayers of renunciation and for the people present to receive the Holy Spirit and he gives the conditions: Come to Jesus as your baptizer and present to Him your body to be a consecrated temple for His Spirit. Yield to Him your tongue. You must drink in and then will come the supernatural overflow. It comes in a moment of faith. You yield your tongue and your voice. Don’t get interested in the language, focus on Jesus. If you want it, enter into the ministry at the conclusion of this message.

70ONMP3CD9-8 - Don Basham & Darrell Hon - THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - Don begins by saying he is going to share about the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the relationship of tongues because it is one of the points of confusion that often plague Spirit baptized people. It has become clear that those of us baptized in the Holy Spirit need to know how to teach, interpret, explain and answer questions of those who are getting interested in it. He says people usually have the same set of questions. Lots of things have to be untaught. There are no single point answers. He has come up with 37 questions and answers in his book, A Handbook on Holy Spirit Baptism. These questions and answers, in the book, deal with the Holy Spirit Baptism, experience of the baptism and tongues in relationship to the baptism. Holy Spirit baptism should be a doorway experience. We are supposed to move to other manifestations and gifts the same way we receive the Holy Spirit, which is by faith. Read Corinthians on what to do after you receive the baptism. Remember Paul was talking to spirit filled Christians not non-Christians. There are two major uses of tongues; as a gift for interpretation to the church for the up building of the church and after the baptism in the Holy Spirit you receive tongues which are a supernatural ability to pray. They are like a possession of your own, personal. This is the will of God that you earnestly desire the higher gifts which can be used to edify and build up the church. Don tells of his personal experience when he received the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an illustration of the timidity of God’s people. In I Thessalonians 5 Paul says despise not prophesying. Don says when you first begin interpretation and prophesying it may be small, just a scripture, but interpretation of tongues edify, exhort and comfort. He gives illustration about a word of knowledge and word of wisdom. In I Corinthians 14:25 Paul says it’s a “body” ministry. We must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and trust God in faith to operate in the gifts. When you feel God wants to use you for interpretation in prophecy you are going to have to act on it. It is like a child learning to walk, he may make mistakes but it is ok. The important thing to remember is there is no condemnation and there is no progress in the Christian life except in faith. He gives examples in experiences and scripture. The principle he wants to get across in this teaching is you have to move out in faith if you want interpretation and prophecy to happen. In this teaching, he just shared some of his insights, not to say they set in stone. One way to get prepared is to store up the scriptures in your heart and mind. Prophecy for you personally should be confirmed in your own spirit and by 2 or 3 others. He gives a personal illustration of a prophecy given to him that did not happen for some 15 years. Prophetic words are to be used with caution. Don closes saying we must move out in faith trusting that God will not let you down. There is no progress without faith. Having received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at age 12 and being 55 at the time this was recorded in 1970, Bro. Hon, adds seasoning to the message delivered on 8A by Don Basham. He shares practical advice concerning the quickening of the Holy Spirit and timing for the message in tongues to be delivered. He gives personal testimony of when the Holy Spirit gave him a message in tongues and he felt to sit down and write out the interpretation. After it concluded he realized it was given to him for a board meeting he was to attend in about 20 minutes. He explains the gift of the word of knowledge, word of wisdom, and discerning of spirits. His experiences serve to confirm God’s divine order concerning the moving of the Holy Spirit.

82LHMP3CD5-3 – Erma Miller - STIRRING UP THE GIFTS - Erma begins with the scripture “not by might, not by power but by My Spirit sayeth the Lord”. She says we don’t need mighty ministers, we just need to minister by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is what is going to change your life. Matt 3:7 - underline “and with fire”. Erma prays that everyone will be baptized with fire of the Holy Ghost before this teaching is over. We need lots of repentance and the Holy Ghost. Fire is the symbol of God. The baptism of the Holy Ghost will cause flesh to die out and the Holy Spirit to take over. Jesus and the Holy Ghost are compared to fire in the scriptures; also God’s messengers, angels. We have been destroyed because of lack of teaching, lack of our reading in the Word and lack of our praying in the Spirit. Erma give an illustration from when she worked at Lockheed to what God uses; He uses the water of the Word, the oil of the Holy Spirit, He uses His breath to breathe on us. But none of that would have ever made that airplane fly, all of these different ingredients, it took fire to fire up those engines and we need the fire of God to be fired up in us so that we can soar into the heavenlies. The way to get totally full of the Holy Spirit is to receive more. If you have a glass half full you have to put more in it to fill it up. She asks everyone to look at Jesus right now and say Lord give me a new flow of Your Spirit from the throne room. Say to the Lord “I am receiving the Holy Spirit”. She prays for everyone to receive and keep drinking in the Holy Spirit. Just a little bit of faith will do you. Just keep drinking in. Jer 23:29 – the Word of God is compared to fire. It is cleansing to you, it is fire. Zach 13:9 – this is the coming of the day of the Lord; we are tried once each day, tested. The Lord is my God. Acts 2:3 – the obedient ones stayed in the upper room until they received the Holy Ghost and were endowed with power. This was the promise Jesus gave them. A lot of people will not wait upon the Lord. We must have a daily walk with the Lord. Every day walking with Him, praying in the Spirit. You generate the fire of the Holy Ghost by praying in tongues. That is your generator and it makes this fire. Erma gives an exhilarating plea for all present to receive more of the Holy Spirit. She says we are all in the family of God and need to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Erma and Glen lays hands on people to impart the gift of tongues and the gift of interpretation and the gift of prophesy. You will hear authoritative instruction with people receiving the stirring up of the gifts of the Spirit in themselves. (Erma actually teaches about 15-20 min, the rest is ministry - about an hour) If you enter in to this ministry you will also receive!

85LHMP3CD12-9 - Tommy Cook - GIFTS & MINISTRIES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - Important for today are these gifts and ministries, to glorify God and build up the Body of Christ. WHAT'S ON CD DISC #B

91LHMP3CD11-8 - Tommy Cook - GOD’S GIFTS - We need to be filled with the Word and the gifts of God so that no poison can abide within us. We need to desire the gift of prophecy because through it all the other gifts of the Spirit can operate. The gifts of God bring energy, love and harmony within the church. They glorify God and edify the body. We must not neglect the gift that God has put in us. We must not follow signs, signs must follow us; and signs will follow the Word.

DTT01MP3CD1of3 - W.L. Duncan - INSPIRATIONAL GIFTS (1 OF 3) - Bro. Duncan starts by showing us truth in the Word of God. Jn 16:13 says, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." All truth is in the Word of God but Christian's eyes have been blinded. Christians need to have a "secret closet ministry". Body ministry in the church brings confusion to the devil. This is putting 1 Cor 14:26 into practice and will usher in the gifts of the spirit. Man-made order is put aside and the Holy Spirit is allowed to work.

DTT02MP3CD2of3 - W.L. Duncan - INSPIRATIONAL GIFTS (2 OF 3) - Upon receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, we all have the ability to speak in tongues and all the nine gifts are resident within us. The nine gifts are broken into three parts: 1) Inspirational gifts - tongues, interpretation of tongues and prophecy. 2) Revelation gifts - word of wisdom, word of knowledge and discerning of spirits. 3) Faith or Power gifts - gift of faith, gift of healing and gift of miracles. The operation of these gifts will not make the church or Christians perfect. People may not even have confidence in them until the manifestation of the fruit of the spirit is seen in their lives and churches.

DTT03MP3CD3of3 - W.L. Duncan - INSPIRATIONAL GIFTS (3 OF 3) - 1 Cor 14:3, "But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort." When personal prophecy comes over an individual, it will be a confirmation of something God has already shown you. If a personal prophecy comes and God has not challenged your heart with it, don't just jump in. Keep your heart open and allow the Spirit of God to witness it through two or three persons. Bro. Duncan explains and gives examples of how, when God speaks through tongues, interpretation or prophecy, we need to be obedient to God. Take heed! He likens being slain under the power to being on God's operating table. God wants to manifest Himself! He wants people saved, delivered of demons and healed.

DTT04MP3CD1of2 - W.L. Duncan - REVELATION GIFTS (1 OF 2) - These gifts are given by the manifestation of the Holy Spirit for the common good. Some inspirational gifts are tongues, prophecy, word of knowledge, wisdom (discernment), and miracles (healing). 1 Corinthians 12 tells us that the Holy Spirit distributes these gifts to individuals just as HE wills. Do not be afraid to move in the Spirit. Allow God to reveal things by operating in the Spirit. Get rid of pride!

DTT05MP3CD2of2 - W.L. Duncan - REVELATION GIFTS (2 OF 2) Do not be ignorant concerning the nine Gifts of the Spirit. Interpretation is not given so faults of others can be exposed. Spirit of wisdom can be used to interpret tongues. God has all knowledge and He shares this when we receive a word of knowledge. Pray about how you can yield yourself to God. Prepare for the next great move of God by yielding your will to His.

DTT10MP3CD - W.L. Duncan - POWER GIFTS - God desires to release spiritual gifts to everyone who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit. Faith begins to operate when we submit to the will of God. Then God can endow us with gifts (Gal. 5:22) which differ according to the grace given to each individual. We are transformed by daily renewing our minds with God's WORD.

DTT11MP3CD - W.L. Duncan - THE PURPOSE OF TONGUES - Outstanding message on the value of having a prayer language and why the devil doesn't want you to use it! Bro. Duncan lays out the Scriptures and the multiple reasons for exercising the gift of tongues. Everyone should feed on this one. It will help those who have not received the Baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and it will also minister to the seasoned saint who has been praying in tongues for many years. There is something here for everyone.
